End of Winter Term :(

As the days of my relaxing Winter Term wind down I cringe to think that the real work is right around the corner again (Monday!).  It has been very nice this past week to have only one swim practice a day, while spending the rest of the day doing what ever I want...aka baking massive chocolate chip banana bread cakes (which I've gotten pretty good at and when everyone is back in the summer I will bake up a few of them and we will have a feast), watching movies (Starwars, Blue Planet, Planet Earth, Wall-E, Benjamin Button...), reading lots of pleasure read books, and just hanging out and getting to know the people on my team better.

Well, that's all over soon...

Yesterday we partook in a swim team tradition that supposedly has been around since the '70's......"Swamp Rat" -(which I keep accidentally calling Sewer Rat!! --whoops!)

Anyways, you dress up in your most hideous clothing and go bowling at the campus bowling ally.  It was a blast and I dazzled everyone with my "curve ball" that I developed last summer while spending WAY to many hours at Laurel Lanes!  Needless to say, I picked out my afro which got some serious looks while I walked across campus to the bowling ally...

Hopefully all you travelers can find a tv that is playing the Super B this weekend.  I remember it was quite an experience watching it last year in Costa Rica at a bar right on the beach (not to mention the fact that my Giants won beautifully).  Although there is no way last year can be topped, it is still worth it to seek out a place to watch this American tradition -- beware though, don't expect to get the same crazy commercials that I will be getting in the States.  I want to know if ya'll do get them cause I had some shitty commercials last year...unsatisfying!

Well, I am going to go eat at the dining hall and try to get a head start on some second semester reading in my room.

Stay strong zukes, things will turn around...it's early, ask Ben about that.

As for you Ben, sounds like you found a great think with the Rugby...I remember I found a group of Spaniard to play basketball with in Salamanca on weekends and it was one of the best things that happened to me...keep that up!

Miguelito--- WRITE IN YOUR BLOGG!!  or else I will send you a virtual blog terd an post it in your blog!!!  This must mean that you're having a blast though, so I will take that as good news.

Salud a todos!
